Hayleigh & William
Hayleigh & William used to swim together at their local swimming club, They lost touch with one another until 10 years later when they bumped into each other in a dingy pub in Clitheroe, where William asked for Hayleigh’s number. They went on a few dates thinking nothing of it, they soon moved in with one another buying their first home in Whalley ten months later. After they had been together for 18 months, William organised a surprise trip to Copenhagen, where he planned to propose at the top of the Round Tower. They choose wyresdale Park as they loved the barns, a tavern-style bar and not forgetting to the amazing lake that is attached to the grounds. The setting for a dream wedding.
Their puppy Prim got to show an appearance at the wedding. Hayleigh said, “We had the venue the day before the wedding and we got our closest friends to join us for a barbecue, swim in the lake and to help set up.” On the day of the wedding, Hayleigh was up at 6 am with her ten bridesmaids, yes 10 making sure her hair and make-up was done on time.
Their day included a gin bar outside followed by a jazz musician for the first dance by the amazing Arthur Geldard. He played the swing classic Have You Met Miss Jones? by Frank Sinatra and the newlyweds danced a choreographed routine. The bridesmaids and groomsmen glamping in bell tents on site and Will and Hayleigh stayed in the West Wing attached to the stately home.
They plan a honeymoon in Italy later in the summer when they have time off work.
