Fiona & John
The Spread Eagle Inn Sawley
Fiona and John’s Wedding Day was my last summer Wedding of 2019. I was slightly apprehensive how the weather would turn out…but how wrong I was the weather was glorious from start to finish for a late September Wedding. The Venue: The Spread Eagle, Sawley is located in the heart of the Ribble Valley countryside, the River Ribble to one side and on the other are the remains of the C12th Cistercian Sawley Abbey.
I arrived in the morning to capture the bridal prep at the Venue with so much laughter and giggling between Fiona and her two bridesmaids. Fiona had chosen a relaxed Midi lace Wedding Dress with red heels to add a splash of colour, along with beautiful wild bouquets for herself and the bridesmaids.
After a short and personal ceremony all the guests gathered outside the Inn to make the most of the weather! The group shots and portraits were centred around the beauty spots of the stone ruins of the Abbey. Shortly after the speeches we explored the River before the sun started to set to capture some of the Ribble Valley views. Then it was time for the couple to enjoy the evening celebrations and dance the night away.
Here are a few highlights from their Wedding Day…
