North West Lancashire Wedding Photographer

Lancashire creative documentary wedding photographer working in some of the best UK venues around the country. How do I work? When you book me to be your wedding photographer nothing is staged. I capture real moments and memories whilst they are happening. Your photos will be full of emotion, laughter, and fun with maybe a few tears thrown in as well.

My Wedding Approach

How long have you been a wedding photographer?

I have been a wedding photographer now for just over 5 years working in some of the best venues around the country and working with some amazing couples.

What camera do you use?

I use a canon 5d Mk III. On a wedding day, I will have at least two camera bodies with me, a range of lenses and an of camera flashes as well as some other gadgets. I always carry backup equipment with me to ensure we can carry on shooting even if something goes wrong.

Do you offer a discount?

This is a yes/no question as I sometimes do, and some times don’t. I sometimes offer discounts for mid-week, last minute or winter weddings. Please do feel free to ask. Don’t worry I won’t get offended if you ask me.

Do you travel?

My packages include travel within a 50-mile radius of Preston (that covers all of Manchester, Lancashire, into Cheshire, the Lakes and even the occasional jaunt into Yorkshire). I do cover weddings outside these areas but travelling and accommodation expenses may be added to the package price depending on distance. If you are getting married outside of my normal areas and would like a quotation please do get in touch.

Are you insured?

Yes I have public liability and professional indemnity insurance. This is really important  – whatever photographer you choose to use – make sure they are fully insured.

Favorite wedding venues to work in?

There are a number of wedding venues around the North-West that I love to photograph in, one of which is Eaves Hall. I have had the chance to photograph three weddings in this venue, each time being as magical as the first and I always look forward to going back. The Gardens are gorgeous to take the bride and groom for a walk to take some portrait photos and the Build is ideal for a gorgeous back drop.

Are all the images edited?

After the wedding,  I go through all the images to choose the best ones. The final selection of images you receive the are all edited to my high standards. This includes cropping, exposure, sharpening and colour correcting. Next, the images receive my final creative edit.  The majority of the images will be presented in colour and black and white.

Can we meet before we book?

Yes absolutely.  I’m available for weekday, evening and the occasional weekend appointments. If you can’t get to me we can always arrange a Skype or Facetime call, or meet up over a coffee or a G&T.

Do you include pre-wedding sessions?

You can add an engagement session to any of my wedding packages or even book one completely separately. I don’t include them as standard as not everyone wants one.  Click here to read a recent blog post and to view my Engagement sessions.

What is the booking process?

Once you’ve decided you would like me to photograph your wedding there’s an online contract to read and sign, also a booking form and a £350 deposit are required to secure your date.

How long until we get are images?

Within 5 – 7  weeks of your wedding your images will be ready to view on your private online gallery and then on your personalised USB drive.

How many images do we receive?

I don’t limit the number of images taken on the day. A low estimate is 450 – 550 images for a full day wedding. It is often much higher than this depending on what is happening on the day.
