North West Wedding at The Inn At Whitewell

bride and groom at The inn at whitewell clitheore wedding

Heather & Matthew are a fantastic couple and two of the sweetest, most down to earth people I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet; but when it came to their wedding planning they definitely didn’t hold back on making the day super special!  Every detail created by Heather was perfect and set the scene for a wonderful wedding day. Add to this a wonderful crowd of family & friends and I was one very happy snapper. Anyway, from here I’ll hand over to the happy couple for the rest of the story from there beautiful north west wedding at the Inn at whitewell. I asked the bride and groom (Heather & Matthew) a few questions and here is what they had to say about their beautiful north west wedding at The Inn At Whitewell.

Ribble Valley Luxury  Wedding Lancashire

I have known Heather & Matthew for many years and to be asked to photograph their wedding at the Inn at whitewell was an opportunity I could not refuse! Heather & Matthew’s wedding day started at 11 am where I met Heather and her lovely bridesmaids as they were getting ready in the bridal suite at The Inn At Whitewell.  Bridal Prep was so much fun and everyone was relaxed drinking a cheeky glass of prosecco to calm the nerves.

Mathew and Heather got married in the church that is next to the Inn At Whitewell. Following the ceremony was the wedding breakfast which was hosted in the stunning marquee in the grounds of the Inn At whitewell.

Tell us about your story pre your wedding?

Before we got married we had been together for 13 years since meeting at Sixth form in Hutton when we were both 16. We both knew we wanted to have a wedding that reflected our laid back style as we both wanted to feel relaxed and enjoy the day as much as possible (well, we had waited long enough for it)!

What were your favourite parts of the day?

We always wanted to spend as much time with our guests as possible and we definitely did!  Every part of the day was wonderful and it ended with a great night of music and dancing with all our brilliant family and friends.

What made you choose the location for your wedding Photography?

We had seen the Inn at Whitewell before and we knew it would be the right place for our wedding…it fitted our idea of a relaxed and intimate day perfectly!

What made you choose your wedding details and styling?

The styling was just done by mixing everything that we liked and the details were picked by looking at things we liked from the Internet or ideas we had picked up from other people’s weddings!

What wedding entertainment did you have?

We had a pianist to play during the cocktail reception and wedding breakfast and then a DJ for the evening reception…both were brilliant!!

What are your top tips for couples planning their own wedding?

Don’t agonise over every little detail…the quicker you make decisions then the easier it becomes there’s nothing worse for planning a wedding than indecision!

What were you looking for in terms of your wedding photography?

We really wanted our photographer to tell us what he thought would look good or what would make a good photograph (after all, we’re not the experts)! That really helped us feel relaxed on the day because we weren’t worried about what would make a great photograph but we could just focus on enjoying it and letting him capture the moments we wanted to remember!

I have recently shot another wedding at the Inn at whitewell feel free to check it out
